Instagram shares a new guides of Reels marketing

Instagram’s push towards Reels is quite apparent. Now, it has published a guide covering important topics such as marketing strategy with Reels, design of Reels, ads format for Reels, etc. The guide packs helpful information and is worth checking out.

Brands are achieving more with Instagram Reels

According to Meta, reels already account for 20% of the time spent on Instagram. A study by Emplifi revealed the median post interaction of Reels was highest among Image, Video, Carousel, and Reels for Q1 and Q2 of this year. The trend seems to indicate that Reels will see even more growth in the future.Takeaway: Brands should start integrating Reels more and more into their social media strategy. Idea strategy would include a healthy mix of all formats with Reels gaining more and more importance.

Tumblr introduces ‘Community Labels’ as a filtering feature for sensitive content

Community Labels will allow users to tag posts as ‘Mature’ which are related to drugs/alcohol, violence, and sexual themes. Mature content will be blurred and can be turned off by users. It will be unavailable for users under 18. Managing ban of adult content while allowing features like Community Labels is going to be very tricky for Tumblr.

YouTube Shorts adds narration voiceovers similar to that of TikTok and IG Reels

The feature will unlock more creative capacity for creators. Looks like every major social media platform is after TikTok now-a-days!
